Origin
Jeff and Ellen founded Phalcon Aerospace Inc based on inspiration from entrepreneurial family members who had the courage and tenacity to start their own businesses. Leveraging their decades of engineering and administrative experience, respectively, Jeff and Ellen established a Woman-Owned Small Business to provide engineering and technical services in the Aerospace & Defense industry from their home base of Huntsville, Alabama (aka Rocket City USA). As described below, they are a power couple who complement each other and find balance together.
Leadership
President & Owner, Ellen Hostetler, brings decades of administrative experience in multiple fields to bear on client problems and business activities. Ellen has worked in the legal, real estate, publishing, retail, and public education industries. She brings an empathetic and sensible approach to customer service focusing on business relationships. Ellen's Myers-Briggs type is ENFP.
Principal & Director, Jeffrey Hostetler, brings decades of engineering, program management, and executive management experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry to bear on client problems. He brings an analytical and creative approach to customer service focusing on business outcomes. Jeff's Myers-Briggs type is ISTJ with ENTJ tendencies. Jeff also serves as corporate Secretary and Treasurer.

Phalcon Aerospace Inc is an AI-enabled small business. We use multiple commercial tools in support of our business activities and always invite AI to the table when we solve client problems. Given the rapid development of AI tools and methods, we have our favorite tools for specific tasks, but we maintain an open systems approach to ensure agility and avoid vendor lock. Jeff attends the AI Symposium at the US Space & Rocket Center's Space Camp Institute annually.
